Life Verses of the Day

Part 1 of my never ending struggle to find a life verse ...

Here are three candidates:

Deuteronomy 14:26  - Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish.
That's a neat one. Go buy stuff, but make sure some of it is beers! praise the Lord!

1 Corinthians 1:16 - "(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.)"
I am quite forgetful at times, after all. It's comforting to know St. Paul was also forgetful, and to the point where he dismisses baptisms as if they didn't matter. haha.

2 Thessalonians 2:5 - "Don’t you remember that when I was with you I used to tell you these things?"
That one is for my wife. She knows that I'm forgetful, and reminds me of it often. One day, she'll be reminding me that she used to remind me of things.

I'm kidding about this of course - the internet is not a good place for sarcasm that doesn't come with a clear disclaimer. But this does underscore that not every Bible verse alone has equal weight. In other words, the Bible is not a legal document (although parts of it do record legal codes).
